FAQ

ParSon is a parental control app for parents to manage their kids’ mobile devices which have been installed MDM by schools.  With this tool, parents can remotely manage Apps for kids to use or not to use, restrict websites, set schedules for apps, and track device location. ParSon is developed by 180C Limited and compatible well with ESP MDM solution.
If you would like to find a device code specifically for a device, go to Device > Device Management > Select Device > BYOD Tab > [ Device Code ]

If you have multiple device codes to retrieve, you may export the device codes to excel for later distribution.
1) Device > Device Management > Bulk Action > Special > Set BYOD
2) Device > BYOD > All BYOD Devices > Export to Excel
We encourage school to pick 1 or 2 devices and pair with your mobile phone for trial (free subscription fee for school trial)

Yes. You can do so in ESP MDM Admin Console….
1) Set restrictions for parents to control in ParSon.
Go to Settings > School Config > Parent MDM / ParSon > Restrictions, switch on restrictions (in Profile Management) which you allow parents to control in ParSon, tap Save.
2) Restrict parents from accessing ParSon.
Go to Settings > School Config > Parent MDM / ParSon > Access Rights, switch on to allow parents to access the device, including App Lock, Schedule, Block, Control and Location. If switch off, the device in ParSon will be unavailable to access.
3) Set school time to restrict parents from accessing Parson during certain period.
Go to Settings > School Config > Parent MDM / ParSon > School Time, select days and time. Tap Save button to apply.
Both ParSon and Parent MDM are ESP MDM extension for parents to manage kids’ devices.

ParSon (launch to the market in June 2022) is, indeed, a replacement of Parent MDM.

Parent MDM will no longer be available for download in App Store and Google Play Store in September 2022, and will not be supported in January 2023.
